Testosterone

Question:

There are articles and books appearing that say that even if serum testosterone is normal to high, if free testosterone is low then sighs of low testoserone will begin to appear. Is this true? And if so, what can be done to raise free testosterone?

Answer:

First you need to see if you are really low by having the correct blood tests done.  AND, it does vary a lot from person to person.  If your DHEAS is low then you can take 25 mg per day of DHEA which will help with testosterone levels.  Do NOT take more than that per day unless you are eing monitored by a physician.  You can also use testosterone transdermal (skin) gel.  This MUST be prescribed by a physician and should be monitored by regular blood test every year.  Too much testosterone can cause major problems with prostate and baldness.  CI.
